Canoe Hire Symonds Yat. Symonds Yat is one of the most popular stretches of the River Wye, with rapids, magnificent cliffs as well as great pubs to stop and eat at.

We offer two main options for paddlers wishing to see this fabulous section of the River, starting either from Kerne Bridge or Ross-on-Wye. Both routes take the paddlers down the stunning middle Wye Valley, with tranquil countryside the whole route. It is a perfect escape from the towns with wildlife and flora in abundance. As the river winds closer to Symonds Yat the cliffs get taller and if you are lucky you might even spot a peregrine falcon which live specifically in these cliffs.

Our Routes from Symonds Yat

For full day paddling we recommend: Kerne Bridge to Monmouth (passing Symonds Yat for lunch).

For a great two day trip we recommend: Ross-on-Wye to Monmouth (staying at Symonds Yat overnight).

Launch and Landing Points

We can’t launch or land from Symonds Yat (although you can stop if you are staying in accommodation here or eating at one of the pubs!). However we also have the capability to provide canoe hire or kayak hire from many more landing points on the River Wye.
